There are two kinds of people....

Drew scripts... meaning he will repeat things he has heard...From movies, tv, songs, ME (watch your mouth MOM!!) His "scripting" and/or "vocal stimming" can drive me NUTS! But I will say sometimes it's what he uses when he can't find his own words and it does happen to fit the situation....sometimes ;).
Lately he has been saying the following.... "there are two kinds of people...." . I never really catch the rest...
This morning Drew got up first and came to curl up with me for a bit in my bed... I love when I can get one on one time with the boys and today I got Drew! I love the way he plays with my hair and rubs my back...so many people think that kids with "autism" don't cuddle or like to be touched.. and I guess everyone is different but Drew has always been open to it :) Now don't get me wrong, there are lots of things you can't do with Drew... sing (he HATES when others sing, but he sings all the time!), dance ( "DON'T DANCE!!"), play with HIS hair, etc.. So many things about Drew fit the "autism" mold and so many things don't!
But this morning was lovely! We "shnuggied" and cuddled. He told me he loved me and then we got up to start our day... as we got out of bed Drew began to script...


"There are two kinds of people..... normal..... and ME" :)


Ain't that the truth! I LOVE that kid!
And so our day began as per usual...

Drew on the computer... While I unloaded the dishwasher...There are two kinds of cats as well.. NORMAL....

And ours.... ;)
