Hairs and Hat...

Soooo we got our hairs cut today...my Dad would ALWAYS say "hairs" cause they ALL got cut ;).

No big deal I know... But it's the HAT that's the BIG deal..... not 3 minutes after the cut...

UGH. This hat thing has been going on FOREVER!! Ok maybe 6 months. But damn thats a looooong time to never want to take off a hat... I try not to stress.. I try not to worry... reminding myself that "this too shall pass". I mean really, what's the big deal?? Well sometimes I think because of Drew's autism I worry more. I mean would I really care if Cole, the "neuro-typical" ( hate that name!!) did this?? Well the answer is YES!! 6+ SOLID months of wearing a HAT!!! It only comes off at night because I take it off!!(oh and to shower and we all know how often they do that!!) I had to bribe Drew today with McDonald's just to agree to take it off for the "hairs" cutting!! But in reality, he did take it off, no fuss, sat nicely while Donna(our FAVORITE hair "stylist"!!) cut, clipped and buzzed. And causally put it back on after. He even took it off and asked me to take a picture to send Ms C, his one on one(aide) from school... he LOVES her(so do the rest of us!) and  wanted to show off his new doo(and btw way that was totally spontaneous) ... So maybe "I" am the one making a big deal about nothing. So the kid likes his hat... one day maybe he wont and we'll miss all the comments and attention when we go somewhere "HEY THERE'S MARIO!!!" I think Drew likes the attention ;)
