L.A.Z.Y!

Holy cr*p we have been lazy today... We have done nothing, I mean NOTHING! I think the only time the boys moved was to eat and/or go to the bathroom. They never even got out of their PJs today... I at least showered and got dressed. And as most people know I NEED to shower every day. I am a very stinky person ;).
I tried to get them to do something. All I got was "NEVER!" and this...

Oh well, I am feeling extremely guilty about it. It's B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L outside, I would know, I did laundry and since we have no dryer I was hanging things! Funny even when we had a working dryer I still hung the laundry but now that we don't there are days I wish I could just pop a load in to speed the process.
Surrender, surrender, that has been my mantra today... Let it be.. let it go. One HUGE bum day won't kill us. Now if I could get them eat something... other than apples, grapes, rice things, popcorn, ice cream, "flavored water"... well I guess it could be worse. I did measure them on our "wall". Kid B grew a bit more than Kid A this time but Kid A is still 3 1/4" taller. He has always been the bigger twin even in utero :).
Almost time to pour a cheap glass of wine and maybe go sit out back and read my book.. "Thinking in Pictures". I've read it before but I always come away with something new.. I may be Kid A's Mom but I  don't always understand how he thinks. Reading this book gives me a wonderful glimpse into something very foreign yet so familiar. Such an amazing boy Kid A is.. AMAZING! And don't get me started on Kid B.... AMAZING as well is such a different way yet they are so very connected.. I got very lucky. The luckiest Mom ever! Ok so today wasn't so bad... and it aint over yet...good thing...still lots of hugging and "shnugging" to do :)

Camping in the living room...

Ok with all the summer heat the boys and I have been "camping"(sleeping) in the living room. We do not have a/c upstairs in the bedrooms, so we "camp" in the living room where we have a/c... Well last night really wasn't that hot but the boys LOVE sleeping downstairs. They get the pullout couch and I get the FLOOR...on a 1" mat... I WANT TO SLEEP IN MY BEDROOM AGAIN!! But I will say I do love being so "close" to the boys..not actually co-sleeping, but close enough that I get a kid rolling off the couch onto my mat and some really good "shnuggie" time!
I will try to get us all back upstairs tonight in our own rooms but will miss camping out in the living room a little :)... I have a feeling we may be doing it again real soon... August is here...

Hmmm, why blog?

I really have no idea what I am doing...but for some reason, I am drawn to start blogging. I think I'll blog about the millions of things that "pop" into my head a million times a day...ok I won't do it that much ;). I'll blog about my kids, my dogs, my cat, autism, grooming, being a single mom, cheap wine and all the joys and struggles that come along with it all :) Maybe I'll blog about nothing, mindless ramblings...sort of like what I am doing now...Or maybe it will be deep and meaningful.....doubtful..
Ok so now I have written my first post!! Oh dear, somebody STOP me!!
