MMmmmm mashed potatoes!!

So we didn't have anything planned for today, well except to drop off my broken van AGAIN (thanks Bro for the indefinite loaner!), go to the post office, go to Trader Joe's, and well that was it.. So we got through the first two things and then detoured to IKEA!! YAY IKEA!! ( Sorry Dawn, I PROMISE we will go again with you!!) Well seems like everyone else had the same idea....

 The lines were like this everywhere!! Holy Crow it was a madhouse! But we made it through the lunch line with ease and all had the  meatballs!! Damn I LOVE Ikea meatballs.... So does Drew..clearly :)

and when the h*ll did the mashed potatoes get sooooooo good?? I don't remember them being THAT good. Omg I could have had an entire plate of them!! YUM!

We wandered aimlessly through the store after lunch...the ball pit line was waaaaaay too long and this was going to be a really good test to see if Drew could handle NOT going to the ball pit after lunch(our usual routine when going to the big "I"!!) Autism=Routine. Failure of said Routine=Meltdown....So for Drew this was going to be a tough one...no ball pit after lunch. H*LL no ball pit at ALL today(that line was CRAZY!!) (where do all you people come from, anyway??).. So we wandered...Drew liked the beds.

And the promise of ice cream after wandering seemed to do the trick...

And then.....we left the store. Walking right past the ball pit first peeking in to see if our "girl" was there to say "hi" (yes we are such regulars that one of the ball pit girls knows us by name (scary, I know). And we always get to stay in a little extra time because of her!) And out the door we went... no tears, no fuss, no nothing!.. (I did give him a ton of warnings before hand that we could not do the BP today) YAY!!  And also grateful we were going south on the GSP not north.... Double YAY!

We never did make it to Trader Joe's today after all that. Maybe tomorrow ;) And I bet you are asking  "well what DID you get at IKEA??" Well we got this...

Oh and a splash of color for the kitchen. I needed a little pick me up.. all this rain is a bit gloomy..

So why call this post "MMmmmm mashed potatoes!!" .. who the h*ll knows.. because I felt like it and I really did LOVE those mashed potatoes!! Peace all :)
