and I am NOT a reader...never have been really. I mean I CAN read.. you know, People magazines, an occasional InTouch, Enquirer but I dont READ... books, oh unless it has something to do with autism, which btw reared it's ugly head today. Drew's anxiety over rain, showers, clouds, thunder storms is really hard to manage. We do go to his Neurologist in September but till then I have to figure out ways for him to calm down during "upsetting" weather...It has been a looong day, in that regard. BUT I did get my NOOK today!!! YAY!!!
It may make me a reader after all!! It did help that a FB friend talked about a certain book today on her "wall"... I hurried over to the B & N web site and looked it up.. Great reviews..BINGO. So I got it on my NOOK and haven't put it down since!! GO GET IT!! The book that is. Not everyone needs an ereader to read ;). "The Hunger Games"
In all honesty the Nook was to see if I could get Cole a bit more interested in reading. Being that he has dyslexia and CAPD he really dislikes reading....and school... breaks my heart that it is such a struggle for him. I wanted to find a "cool" way for him to enjoy reading and since he is such a techno geek I thought an ereader might help!! But alas the regular old Nook does not seem like the best choice for a kid... Looks like a Color Nook is the way to go since it has better pictures and DUH, in color!!(he still really needs picture to help with the book's content).. So it's off to sell more sh*t on ebay so I can get my kid a Nook Color!! (keeping the plain ol' one for me)
Oh and don't ask me what my kids did today( I think I fed them ). I have no idea because my head was buried in my Nook!! Which reminds me... I need to go finish my book!!
My daughter loved The Hunger Games
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how much I enjoyed such a "sick" book!!
